Summary:The growth and fructification of sea buckthorn trees from 15 varieties of romanian, german and ukrainian origin was studied. It has been established that according to the size of the total length of the annual branches the varieties can be classified as high force (Cora, Mara, Clara) and medium-intensity varieties, and according to the size of the harvest obtained in the first two years of fructification, they can be classified in varieties with: high productivity - Mara, Cora, Clara, C 6, Pomorancevaia; medium productivity - Mr. Sandu, AGG, Leicora, Seirola and low productivity - Dora, Roori, AGA, Piteşti-2, Brateni and Hergo.
