Summary:The work is based on the results of studying the Turkic peoples’ folklore and heroic epos, published research papers whoch focus on the etymology of the terms denoting the main characters “albasty” and “abaahy”, and also the lifestyle, appearance, anatomy, and genetics of the archaic hominids – Homo neanderthalensis, Denisovan hominine. Research articles on olonkho, the texts of Yakuts’ Olonkho heroic epos – the largest indigenous ethnic groups of North-Eastern Siberia have been analyzed. As a result of the conducted research, the most generalized image of “abaahy” has been created, its prototypes in the ancient history have been presented.
