Summary:In the article a brief historical review displays the process of appearance and development of general music education in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Based on study of extensive range of sources significant changes of attitude to Yakut music are uncovered and defined as a teaching content component of general musical education. Much attention is paid to the characteristics of the pairing of Russian and Yakut culture assimilation in terms of foundation of musical education in Yakutia and the purpose of the first implementation experience of Yakut musical culture samples as a learning material for music lessons. The article shows the pedagogical expediency of the development and introduction of Yakut regional component into education musical program was developed in the context of the national project “Music for All”.
