Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the cooperation of Russia and China in the Arctic, in particular, the identification of the potential and prospects of the Russian-Chinese partnership in the Arctic region. Three main stages of bilateral cooperation are considered: China’s desire to join the Arctic Council as a permanent observer; access to the North Sea, providing access to navigation; access to natural resources, oil and gas. Based on the results of the systemic and comparative analysis, it was concluded that Russia and the PRC in the Arctic have more common approaches than disagreements, and Russian-Chinese cooperation in the Arctic can become mutually beneficial.
