Summary:For the past 40 years I have been an active participant in all aspects of co-management from biologist and facilitator to executive director, member and chair of several organizations. Over this time I have become aware of a few patterns that are both disturbing and endlessly repeated. I thought that a different approach to the whole issue might challenge the norms and inspire some readers to be more courageous and adventurous in how they address co-management.
