Summary:The article presents an analysis of a collective monograph devoted to the literature of Karelia. This publication demonstrates a creative union of writers working in Karelian (proper Karelian dialect, Livvik dialect, Ludik dialect), Vepsian, Finnish and Russian languages. The book under review for the first time presents the image of Karelia, created by the combined effort of the republic’s writers from 1920 to 2020, publishes portraits of its famous writers, and characterizes the main trends in modern literature.
