Description
Summary:The purpose of this paper is to investigate the estimation of surface currents directly on stripmap TerraSAR-X data, as an alternative to Along Track Interferometry. The algorithm relies on efficient baseband magnitude-based Doppler estimation, preventing the estimate from possible biases like azimuth ambiguities and strong target reflections. The validation of the algorithm is made with acquisitions over the Elbe estuary river in Germany and the Eyjafjallaj¨okull volcano in Iceland.
