| Summary: | This paper investigates the piracy of the boreal andBaltic region; it will raise the parallelism between thearistocracy and this crime, to verify that the mostprominent sea bandits in this region, had a noble title,and if it implied transcendence towards its currentregulations. The historical aspect of the crime willbe developed addressing its emblematic characters,locating the representative characteristics of thepirates. The current penal codes of the region will beanalyzed, locating the penal types that contain thefigure, studying their premises, also the legislations ofthose countries victimized by pirates will be analyzed,to determine a normative pattern and establish theexisting correlation; the assumption of those nationsthat typify piracy implicitly will be delimited, and thosecodifications that lack the figure will be pointed out;looking for historical and legislative convergences.Germany will also be included, although geographicallyit does not correspond as such, it was in Hamburgwhere this type of piracy was eradicated, which makesits study necessary. Finally, a deductive methodologyapplied by focusing on the subject will be used, since thepremises in the criminal typology will be used to deducethe conclusions drawn. El presente artículo investiga la piratería en la regiónboreal y báltica, al tiempo que plantea el paralelismoentre la aristocracia y este delito, para verificar quelos bandidos del mar más destacados en esta regióncontaron con un título nobiliario y su implicaciónhacia su normatividad vigente. El autor desarrolloel aspecto histórico de este delito, abordando suspersonajes emblemáticos y ubicando las característicasrepresentativas de los piratas. También analiza loscódigos penales vigentes de la región, ubicandolos tipos penales que contengan la figura.
