| Summary: | Neoholopterus antarcticus (Aurivillius ,1910), is one of the least known beetles of the southern cone of South America, of point of view biological and ditributional. The aim of this paper is to provide explanatory background on the distributional range of this cerambycid and provide some biological data. The literature and entomological collections was revised. It confirms the presence of this species at southern Chile and Argentina with exact locations. The relationship of N. antarcticus with Mulguraea tridens as host plant is discussed and the presence of this species on the Tierra del Fuego island is questioned. Neoholopterus antarcticus (Aurivillius ,1910) es uno de los coleópteros más desconocidos del cono sur de Sudamérica, tanto biológica como distribucionalmente. El objetivo de este trabajo es aportar antecedentes aclaratorios sobre el rango de distribución de este cerambícido y aportar algunos datos biológicos. Con este fin, se revisó literatura y colecciones entomológicas. Se confirma su presencia en el extremo sur de Chile y Argentina, señalando, además las localidades exactas de colecta. Se discute la posible relación de N. antarcticus con Mulguraea tridens como planta hospedera y se cuestiona la presencia de este insecto en la isla Tierra del Fuego.
