Summary:This paper aims to present the information obtained from fabrics and tissues recovered from the archaeological excavation at home Omond, South Orkney Islands. It is presented the technical procedures and the results obtained. The fragments analyzed, flat textiles and cordage, suggest primarily a function related to the storage of coal, food and to a lesser extent, the equipment of the habitation environment walls, possible reserves of fabric curtain or candle- and dress remains. El presente trabajo tiene por objeto presentar la información obtenida sobre los textiles recuperados en la excavación arqueológica realizada en la casa Omond, islas Orcadas del sur. Se presentan los procedimientos técnicos aplicados para la identificación de la muestra y los resultados obtenidos. Los fragmentos analizados, textiles planos y cordelería, sugieren principalmente una función relacionada con el almacenamiento de carbón, alimentos y en menor medida, usos en el equipamiento del ambiente paredes, hamacas-, de posible reserva de tela cortina o vela- y restos de vestimenta
