| Summary: | In this study, the plantmaterials that were used and used not in thenesting properties of the HerringGull species have been determined. While twenth-nineplant species belong toseveral families were used in the nesting of this species,thirty-sevenplant species that existed inthe island and that were not used in the in the nesting, werealsa determined. Inaddition, the covering ratio in the nest and the distribution frequencyof the plant species that were usedin the making nest, were statistically tested. Bu çalışmadaHazar Gölü Kuş adasmda yuva yapan Gümüşi marti (Larusargentatus) türünün yuvayapım özellikleri ile yuva yapımındakullandığı vekullanamadığı bitki türleri tespit edilmiştir. Bu türün yuva yapmıında kullanılmayan 37bitkitürü de belirlenmiştir. Aynca Gümüşi marti türünün yuva yapımindakullandığıbitki türlerinin dağılış frekansları ve yuvadaki örtuş oranlari istatistiki olarak teste tabitutulmuştur.
