| Summary: | The periglacial mass movements which are different characters have been happening in high altitude region of Aksu River Basin (Giresun). The periglacial mass movements have been occuring on slopes consisted of soil, regolith, morens and glacial tills or weathered debris material by means of two main processes as freezing – thawing and water saturation. According to results of research on mass movements in region, it has been classified that solifluctions, gelifluctions, frost creeps and also rock movement typies such as rock falls, talus, talus creeps, rock avalanches and rock flows. Determined all periglacial mass movement typies are current, and these have been showing to progress under the current permafrost conditions while damaging on characteristic features of exist glacial and periglacial deposits.Keywords: Aksu River Basin, periglacial, permafrost, mass movements. Aksu Deresi Havzası (Giresun) yüksek kesimlerinde farklı özelliklerdeki periglasiyal kütle hareketleri meydana gelmektedir. Bu kütle hareketleri yamaçlarda bulunan toprak, regolit, moren depoları veya ayrışma ürünü enkaz malzemelerin donma-erime ve suya doygunlaşma prosesleri ile gerçekleşmektedir. Bölgedeki kütle hareketlerinin incelenmesi sonucunda soliflüksiyon, geliflüksiyon, donma-erime sürünmesi ile kaya düşmeleri, yamaç döküntüleri, döküntü sürünmesi, kaya çığları ve kaya akmalarından oluşan kaya hareketleri türlerine ait örnekler sınıflandırılmıştır. Belirlenen tüm kütle hareketleri türleri güncel olup, mevcut glasiyal ve periglasiyal birikim şekillerinin karakteristik özelliklerini bozarak, günümüz permafrost koşulların kontrolünde gelişme göstermektedirler.Anahtar kelimeler: Aksu Deresi Havzası, periglasiyal, permafrost, kütle hareketleri. |
