| Summary: | In this study, the relationship between high technology exports and income, economic globalization and cultural globalization in developed countries is analyzed for the period 1996-2018. In order to analyze this relationship, in the first part of the analysis, developed countries were divided into groups using high technology export data using the club convergence method. In the second part of the analysis, cross-section dependency, slope homogeneity, stationarity, cointegration and long-term coefficient estimator tests are included for the three different clubs obtained. The clubs obtained in the first part of the analysis consist of the following countries: Club 1 (Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Hong Kong, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Netherlands, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Switzerland, Great Britain, USA), Club 2 (Denmark, Finland, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain) and Club 3 (South Cyprus, Iceland, Malta, New Zealand). Then, in the second part of the analysis, cross-section dependence, slope homogeneity, stationarity, cointegration and AMG (long-term coefficient estimator) tests were applied for these three clubs obtained by club convergence method. According to the results obtained in this case, the increasing effect of economic and cultural globalization on high-tech exports is striking in countries that converge to clubs with low high-tech exports in developed countries, while the increasing effect of income on high-tech exports in Club 1 countries where countries converge with high-tech exports is remarkable.
