Maps are hand colored, some with outline double page engraved on steel by various engravers and are signed by Meissas and Michelot. Showing political and administrative divisions, major cities, rivers, lakes and mountains. Relief shown by hachures. Atlas is bound in marbled blue paper covered boards, with title "Atlas de geographie" printed in gilt on spine.
