Bound in red grained morocco, incorporating original marbled paper covered boards, original engraved title label on the front cover, and title “Wyld’s general atlas” in gilt in on spine. Atlas containing very detailed maps of the world with an emphasis on Europe, but with several important maps showing the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia. Most of the maps have a small vignette illustrating a feature of the region. This large general atlas by Wyld is far more rare than his smaller general atlas of 1824, see our 2713.000 |
