Prime meridian is London. A later edition of the 1826 atlas, published by William H. Lizars, a Scottish painter and engraver. Date is on the spine only. Atlas contains 69 double-page engraved hand colored in outline map sheets, contents ”Index to the maps”, numbered 1-70, as listed but no. 32 omitted, no. 70 is double-page engraved “Table of mountain chains”, and 16 pages of index to the name of places and maps" at the end. Maps show political and administrative boundaries, cities, villages, rivers, lakes and mountains. This volume includes two maps, one of the United States and one of Mexico, both showing the Republic of Texas. Relief shown by hachures. Some maps includes notes. Prime meridian is Greenwich.
