Description
Summary:4 RT130 dataloggers (3 channels at 500sps) with Y28 sensors (3 component geophones) were deployed in Greenland near Jakobshaven Isbre. The stations surrounded a supra-glacial lake and were installed with the hope of capturing the seismic activity associated with the lake draining. The likelihood and date of the anticipated lake drainage was based on previous behavior at this site. Site conditions were very difficult because of the high surface melting which occurred during the deployment (late May - late June) and the targeted lake did not drain. The network did capture the drainage of a nearby lake however.
