Ice-ocean interaction at Nuuk tidewater glaciers

Description
Summary:This project aims to look at glacier and ocean simultaneously to get a better handle on ocean-ice interaction. An important part of this is the calving mechanism. We have shown in previous work that seismic measurements can help us understand the process of calving. We propose to use two local seismometers in conjunction with the Greenland seismic network to look at calving mechanisms of Kangiata Nunata Sermia in the Godthabns Fjord.
