Description
Summary:Sixteen Reftek RT130 systems with 4.5Hz 3C geophones were deployed for a month to test beamforming event location on ice streams. A small aperture array (~100 m diameter) of 10 systems was focused above a known site of seismicity. The remaining stations were distributed at greater aperture (<5 km diameter) to allow standard event location methods to be applied. Coincident with the array, a fibre optic cable of length 1 km was deployedat the surface to evaluate DAS capability on ice.
