De novo assembly and preliminary analysis of the spider crab Maja brachydactyla transcriptome

The spider crab Maja brachydactyla Balss, 1922 is a brachyuran decapod crustacean occurring in the north-east Atlantic. We have produced and assembled a set of Illumina transcriptome reads. Next, we annotated our de novo assembly, focusing on genes related to molt and growth processes.
