Description
Summary:This figure comes from the CIMR Deliverable 90 (Societial Benefit Case Study 3) which evaluates CIMR Support for Sea Ice and SST in coastal regions. 5 days Baltic Sea averages of the DMI OI uncertainty for the reference (black), a test run with CIMR (red) and the differences between the two runs (green). The figure shows that overall uncertainty in the DMI OI L4 product is larger during winter due to poorer IR data coverage. Improvements in coverage due to CIMR reduce uncertainty by a greater amount in winter.
