Description
Summary:This figure comes from the CIMR Deliverable 90 (Societial Benefit Case Study 3) which evaluates CIMR Support for Sea Ice and SST in coastal regions. The spatial DMI OI L4 uncertainties in o C, averaged over a full year in the Baltic Sea (left) and with uncertainties when simulated CIMR retrievals are added to the observations (centre). The improvement in percentage is shown in the right panel. The figure shows that improvements in uncertainty are seen throughout the area when CIMR SST observations are included, improving by more than 25% in the Danish Straits and Gulf of Finland, areas with poorer current IR data coverage
