Description
Summary:The paper describes major issues of the geoecological mapping which has a multidimensional aspect and includes a large number of both natural and anthropogenic factors in its field of research. Multi-source data and factors should be taken into account when creating complex maps of the vulnerability assessing applied for the regional environmental situation of Arctic Seas. The main difficulties of geoecological mapping are intensified concern distinguish between the terrestrical and marine ecosystems. The latter are complex in their structure multicomponent systems. Therefore, analysis of the ecological situation of water areas requires complex assessment of all its components, the “contributions” to their overall state and 'weights' of major sources of contamination.
