Description
Summary:Abstract The article analyzes the constitutional thinking of Brazilian intellectuals, and seeks to understand whether this juridical imaginary realm is authentic or just an imitation of ideas imported from countries usually considered more advanced, located in the North Atlantic. By means of the dialectical method and the content analysis of the constitutional law books more used by the main legal courses of the country, the research seeks to understand, from these primary sources, the situation of the dominant thought in the Brazilian constitutional intellectuality. With the theoretical framework of social and political sciences concerning the study of the national thinking, the paper points, in conclusion, to the harmony between the Brazilian constitutional imaginary and the colonial thought that predominates in the country.
