Description
Summary:Light environment. (A) The relative irradiance level was measured through the water column down to 95 m. Standard deviations are shown as red horizontal lines. (B) Below 95 m the light meter was not sensitive enough and the continued decline in light intensity was found by assuming an exponential decline following the measured curve between 70 and 95 m. Data are normalized according to the surface intensity and presented on a logarithmic scale.
