Description
Summary:DescriptionA map of maximum glacial extents reached by the ice sheets that covered the northern hemisphere during the Last Glacial Maximum between ~27-19 ka BP. Note that these glacial limits are not time-equivalent, and rather reflect the maximum limit of glaciation during the peak of the last ice age. The map is compiled from various studies that have synthesised and interpreted vast amounts of empirical data, details of which can be found below. Where possible, 'most-credible'/'optimal' etc. extents have been used.
