Description
Summary:This poster was presented by lead author Noel Pelland at the 2023 Eastern Pacific Ocean Conference (easternpacificoceanconference.org), held at the Stanford Sierra Center, Fallen Leaf Lake, CA, on 25 September 2023. The poster was presented within the conference's General Session. This poster represents non-peer reviewed research communication from an academic conference. The abstract for this presentation was as follows:Researchers at NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory and Alaska Fisheries Science Center are currently working on the first edition of a nearly 50-year CTD and 22-year nutrient data collection based on NOAA sampling in Alaska waters. Here, we show an application of this in-progress database, illustrating the composite structure of the nutricline during summer on the southeastern Bering Sea middle shelf – a highly productive, rapidly changing subarctic ecosystem, in which intra-seasonal processes that moderate productivity following the spring bloom are subjects of ongoing research. ...
