Summary: | The differences in the carbon and oxygen isotope compositions for our averaged Space Not UV-Exposed (red square) and Space UV-Exposed (green triangle) carbonates relative to the averaged isotopic compositions of our Ground Control sample for (A) Iceland spar, (B) Bolivian stromatolite, and (C) French microbialite. The differences in the carbon and oxygen isotope compositions for our MPS calcite experiments (Fisher Scientific, ACS grade) are also shown (D) in which the orange filled, orange bordered white filled, and purple filled circles represent the differences in the isotopic composition for our MPS-Carb-N2-2hr-Exp, MPS-Carb-V-2hr-Exp, and MPS-Carb-N2-24hr-Exp samples, correspondingly. The x- and y-axes show the difference between the ???? 13 C and the ???? 18 O values of our LEO carbonate samples and the Ground Controls for 2A-2C or between our MPS calcite samples and the MPS Control sample for 2D. The standard deviations of the Ground Control or MPS Control sample are represented by the light grey shaded error bands for carbon and oxygen, respectively. |
