Summary:Soil cores were collected from undisturbed and pocket gopher (Thomomys talpoides) disturbed alpine tundra. Cores were split in half longitudinally with one half being used for extraction and identification of Oribatid mites. Disturbed soils included both old and fresh gopher mounds and all study sites were located on the Martinelli slope directly above the 25 permanent plots. The cores were collected in 1988.
