Summary:This dataset contains maximum NDVI from the MODIS sensor onboard Aqua and Terra satellites. The NDVI has been filtered to contain only NDVI values exceeding 0.4 which typically represent vegetated pixels in the boreal region of Alaska. Scaling factor of 10,000 was applied to convert 4-byte floating point to 2-byte integer NDVI values (for example 0.4 to 40000,0.9 to 9000)
