Dataset: Reports statistics on the health of Canadian as they age, including health status, activity limitations, dependence and independence, as well as factors that may affect health, such as exercise and nutrition. Health issues among older age groups, including diseases such as diabetes and arthritis; health conditions such as hearing or vision loss; injuries due to falls; use of medication; and health care services such as cataract surgery or hip and knee replacement are also included. CANSIM is Statistics Canada's key socioeconomic database. The datasets included here provide statistics on the Canadian population, and the nation’s resources, economy, society, and culture. In addition to conducting a Census every five years, approximately 350 active surveys are conducted on virtually all aspects of Canadian life.
