Summary:The data set is the related data of the article "Arctic sea ice lead detection from Chinese HY-2B radar altimeter data". It includes some radar altimeter data of HY-2B, some SAR images of Sentinel, and the data of CryoSat-2.The process of data:Firstly, the pretreatment process of Sentinel-1 SAR image: Radiometric calibration, Incidence angle correction, Filter by refined Lee algorithm, and K-means image segmentation.Secondly, we statistic the sea ice concentration of HY-2B altimeter waveform within the effective radar footprint (1.9 km and 10 km) based on the results of the Sentinel-1 SAR image. Then, set the sea ice concentration to <80% within a 1.9 km footprint as ice lead, set the sea ice concentration of 100% within a 10 km diameter as sea ice, and get some waveforms of open water using the manual method and Sentinel-1 SAR images.
