Summary: | <!--!introduction!--> Ice divides are important locations for deep drilling on ice-sheets. Precise computation around a divide requires spatially very high resolution due to the characteristics of ice-flow around the divide. There are several methods to compute the age of ice. One is to apply a very high resolution 1-d column model on target sites. In this case the history of ice-sheet thickness and velocity is needed to be specified, which can be obtained using 3-d transient ice sheet models. A series of numerical experiments of Antarctic ice sheet using an ice-sheet model IcIES with various configuration are perfomed to evaluate possibility of changes in the position and elevation of Dome Fuji, as well as changes in the long-term ice-sheet volume. Their sensitivity to the evolution of glacial/interglacial climate and ice-grounded will be discussed, in particular to discuss its influence for ice-core dating computation. ... : The 28th IUGG General Assembly (IUGG2023) (Berlin 2023) ... |
