Summary:The dataset includes Canadian Museum of Civilization archaeological site forms, which record site location, size, type, condition and other site attributes. Artifact catalogues record artifact attributes, such as type, form, components, material, radiocarbon dates (if applicable), etc. The faunal catalogues include information on faunal identifications, condition, radiocarbon dates, stable isotopes, etc. : Purpose: These data were developed to characterize ice patch archaeological sites and their associated artifact and faunal collections. : Summary: This dataset consists of data collected for archaeological sites associated with alpine ice patches in the Mackenzie Mountains, NT. It includes descriptive data about the ice patches, as well as information related to the archaeological artifacts and animal bones found at the ice patches. This study is a component of the IPY-Federal funded NWT Ice Patch Study.
