For continuity Pipistrelle bats left unresolved were assigned to species using 50KHz as the species delimiter. Wind direction cardinals was calculated from degrees using the following equation in Microsoft excel (=CHOOSE(INT(MOD(((WindDir*100) +1125),36000)/4500)+1,"N", "NE", "E", "SE", "S", "SW", "W", "NW"), whilst cloud base categories were established using the following equation (=IF(CloudBase<350,"Fog",IF(CloudBase >650,"High","Low")).
