Bat activity was recorded continually on three ultrasonic acoustic loggers for 185 days (31/04 to 01/11/2014) in an upland pine forest in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland. ... : Cross-checking accuracy of auto-identification software was crucial, and prior to use a 1000 records were cross-checked, and no mis-identifications of target species found. For continuity Pipistrelle bats left unresolved were assigned to species using 50KHz as the species delimiter.
