Type material The unique type of C. latipes, a male measuring 44 mm, is in the ZMUC (CRU 2828). The type locality is the North Atlantic Ocean, south of Ireland, 49°22’N, 12°52’W (Thor Stn. 81), 1350 m. Type material of synonyms The unique type of C. parkinsonii, a male measuring about 50 mm, is in the BMNH (1889.5.15.198). Stebbing (1888) originally described this species, referring to it as “ Cystisoma.
