Summary:Metriocnemus longipennis (Holmgren) Smittia longipennis Holmgren, 1883: 18. Dolichoprymna longipennis Holmgr. sensu Lundström (1915: 21). The male imago of M. longipennis has been redescribed by Saether (1989: 421). Saether (1995: 45) has redescribed the Lundström material, including the female (3 specimens), and established the above synonymy.
