Description
Summary:Collettea sp. A (Fig. 7 A, B) Material examined. One male (ZMHK40915): Polarstern Cr. PS136/4; 64°01.54' 64°01.45' S, 39°06.88' 39°06.66' W, depth 7100 m. 13 Mar 2002. Distribution. Species known only from type locality. Atlantic Sector of Southern Ocean, out of Weddell Sea. Remarks. Collettea sp. A resembles C. arnaudi (Shiino) in the proportions of the pereonites, the pleonites, and the telson, but it has a more elongate carapace (length/wide ratio 1.5) than C. arnaudi (length/wide ratio 1.5). The two species are known only from opposite genders so detailed comparison is not possible at the moment. ... : Published as part of Blażewicz-Paszkowycz, Magdalena & Larsen, Kim, 2005, New species of the genus Collettea Lang, 1973 (Peracarida: Tanaidacea, Colletteidae) from the Antarctic., pp. 1-19 in Zootaxa 1085 on page 16, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.170459 ...
