Summary:Bakerdania urbanensis Sevastianov, 1974 Figs. 1–5. Bakerdania nouri Sevastianov and Zahida Al Douri, 1989: 31, fig. 5 syn. nov. I examined female holotypes of Bakerdania nouri Sevastianov and Zahida Al Douri, 1989 and Bakerdania urbanensis Sevastianov, 1974 described from Russia. Comparison of holotypes of B. nouri and B . urbanensis revealed their conspecificity. Therefore I consider B. nouri syn. nov. as a junior synonym of B. urbanensis . I redescribe B. urbanensis because original descriptions of B. urbanensis and B. nouri are incomplete. Description. FEMALE. Gnathosoma (Fig. 2). Gnathosomal capsule hypognathous. Dorsally with 2 pairs of smooth subequal setae ( cha, chb ). Dorsal medial apodeme well developed. Ventral gnathosoma with 1 pair of subcapitular setae m . Palps free articulated with gnathosomal capsule, with setae dFe and dGe dorsolaterally, 1 small solenidion and accessory setigenous structure ventrally and terminated with small claw. Idiosomal dorsum (Fig. 1). Idiosomal length 264, width 172. Prodorsum with 2 pairs of setae ( v 2, sc 2), 1 pair of capitate trichobothria ( sc 1) and 1 pair of round stigmata. All dorsal plates with numerous small dimples. Setae v 2 smooth, other dorsal setae distinctly barbed. Setae v 2, c 2, and h 2 pointed. Other dorsal setae obtuse. Length of dorsal setae: v 2 5, sc 2 17, c 1 52, c 2 81, d 85, e 38, f 109, h 1 86, h 2 84. Distances between dorsal setae: v 2 –v 2 60, sc 2 – sc 2 62, c 1 – c 1 84, c 1 – c 2 36, d–d 62, e–f 18, f–f 69, h 1 – h 1 26, h 1 – h 2 25. Idiosomal venter (Fig. 2). All ventral setae distinctly barbed, pointed. Setae 1 b not bifurcate. All ventral plates with numerous small dimples. Ap 1 and ap 2 well developed and joined with presternal apodeme (appr); presternal and sejugal (apsej) apodemes well developed; secondary transverse apodeme present near the bases of setae 2 a and 2 b and not joined with appr; apodemes 3 (ap 3) well sclerotized, straight and relatively long. Apodemes 4 (ap 4) well sclerotized and long, apodemes 5 absent. Posterior margin of posterior sternal plate straight. Posterior margin of aggenital plate distinctly concave in middle part. Length of pseudanal setae: ps 1 42, ps 2 29, ps 3 22. Legs (Figs. 3–5). Leg I (Fig. 3). Tibiotarsus not thickened, with terminal claw situated on distinct pretarsus, tip of the claw thin, twisted. Length of solenidia ω 1 16 <ω 2 18> φ 1 11> φ 2 8; ω 2 and φ 2 baculiform, φ 1 clavate, ω 1 finger-shaped. Eupathidium ft” distinctly shorter than ft’ . Setae dFe broadened, hook-like. Setae l’FeI , l’GeI and v” GeI obtuse. Leg II (Fig. 4). Tarsus with sickle-like padded claws and large empodium. Solenidion ω 16 long, finger-shaped, solenidion φ weakly clavate. Setae dFeII , l’FeII , and v”FeII obtuse. Setae pl” spiniform, smooth, setae tc’ spiniform, slightly curved and weakly barbed. Leg III. Claws of same shape as on tarsus II. Solenidion φ weakly clavate. Setae dFeIII obtuse. Leg IV (Fig. 5). Tarsus long and thin, with two small simple claws and small empodium. Solenidion φ weakly visible. Setae dFeIV , v’FeIV , v’GeIV , and v”TiIV obtuse. MALE and LARVA unknown. Material examined .
