Parachilota vanhoffeni race vadi Pickford 1937: 202; SAMC. Type locality . WC , ‘Cape Peninsula, Road to Millers point, south of Simonstown’ (Michaelsen 1905). Distribution . Known from number of sites, all from the large area of Cape Peninsula: Kirstenbosch and Skeleton Gorge, three samples. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, woods above Chestnut Avenue. Bank of Contour Path at Window Gorge, near Kirstenbosch. South of Hout Bay on Chapman's Peak Road about 1.5 km at waterfall. Kloof, about 1.5 km north of Millers Point on Simonstown road. Drift across the road between Brinksberg Farm and Diep Gat Gorge. Above Diep Gat Gorge, on Mountain side in the damp leaf mould. Simonstown near Waterfall. Remarks . Pickford (1937: 199) redescribed this species on type material now in SAMC as sample ‘ SAM 374 ’ marked as ‘ type of P. vanhoffeni vanhoffeni ’. Another sub-sample SAMC A 20614 is marked as P. vanhoffeni race vadi . Syntypes: ZMB Verm. 4056; ZMH V- 6385.
