A form with unpigmented ommatidia often occurs among normal specimens. Distribution and ecology . The species is distributed in arid areas of S Siberia (Khakassia, Altai, Tuva, Chita area). It was recorded in Burytia by Chimitova et al . (2010) (Fig. 1: loc. 2).
