Description
Summary:Folsomia candida Willem, 1902 sensu lato Discussion. Our specimens fit to diagnosis of ' F. candida sensu lato' proposed by Potapov & Gao (2012). They are more similar to F. stella sensu Fjellberg by having few chaetae on manubrium but differ from two forms of this species known in Northern Europe (Fjellberg, 2007). The specimens from Buryatia are large, have 3 + 3 anterior chaetae on manubrium, 3–5 + 3–5 chaetae on ventrum of Th.III, more than 2 sensilla on Ant.I, up to 12 + 12 laterodistal chaetae on VT, and a conically pointed abdominal tip in epitoke males. Distribution and ecology . Known from two localities: Khamar Daban Range and Vitim Plateau (Fig. 1: loc. 1, 9). In the former it was abundant under looser bark. : Published as part of Potapov, Mikhail & Gulgenova, Ayuna, 2013, Isotomidae (Collembola) of Buryat Republic. II.
