In Brazilian waters: off Pernambuco state, ca. 640–1235 m depth (Watson 1879); off Cabo de Santa Marta, Santa Catarina state, and off Tramandaí, Solidão and Bojuru, Rio Grande do Sul state (Rios 2009).
