Misidentifications: Eupithecia undata: sensu Grönblom, 1936; Vojnits, 1975, 1977 (nec Freyer, 1842); Eupithecia pygmaeata: sensu Vojnits, 1977 (nec Hübner, [1799]). Unavailable name (incorrect subsequent spelling): fennoscandia: Weigt (1990). This species was recorded for Southern Siberia (Altai and Sajan Mts.) and Mongolia by Dietze (1913, incl. Taf. 85, figs 903, 904) and Vojnits (1975, 1977) as E. undata Freyer and E. pygmaeata Hübner. Subsequently, it was recorded as E. fennoscandica in Viidalepp & Soljanikov (1977), Vojnits (1981) and Mironov (1989a).
