Hosts. Phyllotis osilae J.A. Allen, Neotomys ebriosus Thomas (Rodentia: Cricetidae), Lagidium peruanum Meyen (Rodentia: Chinchillidae). New host: Neovison vison (Schreber) (Carnivora: Mustelidae). Distribution. Peru. Recorded in Chile, Region of Magallanes and Antártica Chilena, Antártica Chilena Province, for the first time. Remarks. Trombicula macrochaeta Brennan and Jones, 1961 was described by 3 specimens (holotype and 2 paratypes) with broken sensilla.
