Diagnosis. Antenna frequently absent, papilliform and minute when present; secondary ciliary organs absent. Four prebranchial segments. Branchiae numbering up to 25 pairs; branchiae ciliated, conical with bluntly rounded tips. Modified notochaetae forked in anterior chaetigers, then acicular and with a subdistal spine. Distribution. Eastern Atlantic from Celtic Sea (Hartley 1981) to Portugal (Gil & Sardà 1999).
