Summary:The purpose of this document is to identify roles and requirements relating to the management of data and information collected in the Southern Ocean. As SOOS acts through the cooperative collaboration of many nations, institutions, and scientific disciplines, this policy aims to promote best practices amongst SOOS-aligned activities. This policy primarily relates to publicly funded research, but, where commercially acquired data is shared with the public, the guidance in this policy should apply.
