THE SINGLE SPECIMEN COLLECTED IN CAUCASUS IS VERY CLOSE TO Elachista triatomea (fOR ILLUSTRATIONS REfER TO TRAUGOTT-OLSEN & NIELSEN 1977: fIGS 80, 324, 325 AND KAILA 1998: fIG. 8), HOWEVER, THE fOREWING IS WITHOUT TWO BROWNISH SPOTS (FIG. 10). IN MALE GENITALIA, THE COSTA Of VALVA IS MORE CONVEX MEDIALLY AND MORE CONCAVE BEfORE CUCULLUS IN THE CAUCASIAN SPECIMEN (FIGS 12, 16).
