Summary: | Delia platura (Meigen, 1826) (Figs. 4–6; 14, 15) Diagnosis: General coloration dark brown with silver pruinosity, thorax with dorsal, light brown stripes; palpus dark brown; prealar seta short, never as long as notopleural setae; dorsocentral setae 2+3; katepisternal setae 1+3; legs dark brown; lower and upper calypters of the same size; vein C bare on ventral surface (Fig. 6); mid tibia with one submedian anterodorsal, two posterodorsal and two posteroventral. Male: hind femur with three posterodorsal setae; hind tibia with more than 18 posteroventral short erect setae. Body length: 5.2–6.0 mm. Wing length: 5.2–5.5 mm. Material examined: CHILE: Juan Fernández, Robinson Crusoe Island, 1 male and 1 female, Bahia Cumberland, 1–11.i.1993, Marshall & Gonzalez leg. References: Kim & Eckenrode (1984); Savage et al.
